The painstaking handmade technique of filigree is done by using very fine strands of silver and wiring them all together. It is very rare to find anyone using these skills nowadays as they take a long time! The family I use for all my filigree designs have honed their skills for centuries in the far North of Thailand, Chang Mai region.
